Second post.. let’s hope I can keep this up and don’t run out of things to say ! Today I was rudely awakened by the sound of my alarm at 5:30am and frantically threw on my uniform as I Was due to start work at 6am. Now for the “regular” joe this might not seem like a big deal.. yes it’s early but it’s manageable but for someone in recovery from an eating disorder boy does it mess with my head. One thought says.. “jessica you can’t go to work without breakfast” while the other voice says “don’t be ridiculous it’s way to early to be eaten” both equally as loud.. how do you know who to listen to ?
Like many people recovering from an eating disorder I have been given a meal plan to follow, it outlines approximate times I should be eaten and what I should be eating. So, on the said meal plan it’s breakfast then morning snack.. lunch etc etc so after speaking with my therapist we agreed on swapping morning snack with breakfast, having them in reverse.. so no skipping or compensating 💪💪 not going to lie this took some getting used to and there has been some unsuccessful attempts but today we conquered it.
